Prosthetics is a chance to return to an active life
Our short film is a kind of manifesto for everyone who went through severe trauma in the war and found himself in the abyss of self-rejection, unwillingness of society to watch people with disabilities, but chose to act and live on!
The main character, Oleksandr Chaika, lost his left leg due to a mine-blast injury in the spring of 2022 near Popasna. His story is one among tens of thousands of other stories of the Ukrainian defenders who lost limbs in the battles with an enemy for our freedom and now need prosthetics and rehabilitation!

What do prosthetics affect?
Difficulties that accompany a person after amputation are not only about limited movement! It is also about constant phantom pains, problems with the musculoskeletal system due to uneven distribution of the load on the body, and the feeling of a lost life. High-quality prosthetics and rehabilitation under the specialists’ supervision restore freedom of movement to our defenders, allowing them to realize their life plans again!
